A senior that saw considerable action in '06, the Falcons will depend on Derek's  leadership in 2007. An excellent athlete with speed, Salyer is in the process of making the transition back to the infield. A versatile player, Derek may also see action in the outfield and will be relied upon as a key member of the Falcon pitching staff.
