The Falcons had 14 hits, with multi-hit games from Seniors Luke Hilt, Alexander Nadler, and Seth Kegley. Junior Rob Bays, Travis Shrewsbury, and Shelton along with Sophomore Jacob Meade also added two hits each in the victory. |
| The Falcons were defeated by Tazewell 7-6 as the Bulldogs ended the game with a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 8th inning. The Falcons were down 6-3, but came back to tie the game and send it into extra innings. With the loss, Abingdon will play Carroll County Thursday at 2:00 for the Southwest District's 3rd seed. |

| Schedule Changes: The Grundy game that was postponed yesterday will now be played on Wednesday, May 18th. This Friday's game at Graham has been moved to Saturday with a projected start time at Noon. However, if Thursday's JV game at Graham is unable to be played due to rain, the JV and Varsity will both travel to Graham to play a JV/Varsity doubleheader beginning at 12:00. During the previous 2 weeks, the Falcons have dropped four straight games that include an 11-7 loss against Tazewell; a 9-8 loss in 9 innings against Virginia High; a 10-0 loss to Carroll County; and an 11-7 defeat against Virginia High. |

Sophomore Cade Berry went the distance, striking out 9 as the Falcons ended the tournament with a 2-2 record. Senior Seth Kegley had three hits including a solo homerun, while fellow Senior Luke Hilt added a pair of hits in the victory. On Friday night, Abingdon dropped a heartbreaker to Bourbon County, KY 5-4. Junior Austin Arnold had a strong outing on the hill, going the distance in the loss. | In the opening round of the Coke tournament, Abingdon was defeated by Tennessee High 3-2. The Falcons rallied to score two runs in the top of the 7th, but were unable to push across the tying run. Seth Kegley provided an RBI single and Travis Shrewsbury had a pair of hits in the loss. |
| The Falcons were defeated by county rival John Battle by a score of 6-2. Abingdon only managed three hits and allowed six unearned runs in the loss. The Falcons will try to get back on track this week as they begin play in the Coca-Cola Classic at Tennessee High School. Abingdon will play Tennessee High on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., Sullivan East on Thursday at 5:00 p.m., Bourbon County, KY on Friday at 5:00 p.m., and will play on Saturday at a time and a location to be determined. |

On a cold and windy evening, the Falcons defeated Graham by a score of 18-0. Senior Alexander Nadler picked up the victory on the mound and also blasted a three-run homer to lead Abingdon to their first victory of the season. Senior Seth Kegley had two hits, including a long homerun in the 1st inning. |
| The Falcons were defeated by John Battle in their 2011 opener by a score of 11-0. Defensive miscues along with leaving eight runners in scoring position were too much for Abingdon to overcome. Freshman Clint Ratliff and Sophomore Johnathan Head supplied the only hits for the Falcons in the loss. Abingdon will travel to John Battle for a rematch on Thursday, March 31st at 7:00 p.m. |
| Former Falcon Justin Malone has continued to excel at the collegiate level, recently being selected as the Colonial Athletic Conference pitcher of the week.
